Quick Start
Sending a tip is easy. First you need to connect your Twitter account to your CoinWallet.co account. Then you can send a tip using one of the following Twitter message formats:
@CoinWalletco tip @targetUser KOBO 10
@CoinWalletco tip @targetUser KOBO 10 Some other message can go here #kobocoin
Receiving Tips
Receiving tips is easy using CoinWallet.co. You just need to register an account and connect your twitter account as outlined above.
Once your Twitter account is connected you will see any received tips within a few minutes, fully confirmed and ready to spend.
Note: You can receive tips to your Twitter account before you have registered with CoinWallet.co (or connected your Twitter account to CoinWallet.co) as tips will remain pending until you register and connect your account.
Connect Your Twitter Account
To start sending tips through the CoinWallet.co / Twitter tip system you need to connect your Twitter account with your CoinWallet.co account. Once you are logged in you can do that by going to the Twitter Connect page.
You will be redirected to Twitter and asked to authorise the connection between your Twitter account and your CoinWallet.co account. If you have 2-Factor email authentication turned on you will also need to validate your request by receiving an authorisation email and clicking on the link within that email.
Sending Tips
In order to send tips you must first have some coins in your CoinWallet.co account. Once logged in, grab a new receiving address from the 'My Addresses' tab on any currency page and transfer some coins to that address.
Once you have some coins in your account and your Twitter account is connected you are ready to start sending tips. If you've just received a tip, then you're ready to go!
Tips need to be sent in the following format:
@CoinWalletco Tip @TargetUser KOBO Amount Message
Here are some examples of valid tip messages:
@CoinWalletco tip @CryptoGuy KOBO 10
@CoinWalletco tip @wifey KOBO 1000
@CoinWalletco tip @ethought KOBO 0.123456 Loved your last tweet here is a small tip :)
Security
Twitter tips through CoinWallet.co bypass some security features of CoinWallet.co such as Google Authenticator and 2-Factor email authentication on withdrawals. So be sure to keep your Twitter login details very safe. If someone gets hold of your twitter account they can tip themselves all of your coins!
It is therefore recommended that you have a second account on CoinWallet.co that you store a small amount of coins on for tipping on Twitter. So if your Twitter account is compromised you will not lose all of the coins in your account.
At any time you can delete / remove the connection between Twitter and your CoinWallet.co account by Clicking Here
Lastly, have fun, and happy tipping!!
